In another spine-chilling and harrowing incident of atrocity against women, some miscreants gang-raped and murdered a woman in Chandrapur area of Guwahati. As per reports, after gang-raping the woman, the miscreants set the victim on fire.
Six people, in connection to the incident, have been detained by the Pragjyotishpur police. The detainees were identified as Anil Das, Ananda Das, Raju Karmakar, Nadu Biswas, Mrigen Deka and Abdul Hussain.
The detainees were said to be labourers working at a brick factory. The locals have demanded strict action against the miscreants involved in the horrific gang-rape and murder.
