Guwahati to host a T20 match between India and Zimbabwe

Guwahati will host the first T20 match of Zimbabwe’s Tour of India on January 5, 2020.

The announcement was made by the media advisory of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The match will be played at the Bhupen Hazarika Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.

The second and third match of the Zimbabwe’s Tour of India T20 series will be held in Indore on January 7 and in Pune on January 10.

The BCCI announced that the 2019-2020 series will include five tests, nine ODIs and twelve T20Is.

On October 10, 2017, the stadium hosted its first T20 international match. The match was played between Australia and India. Australia won the game by 8 wickets.

On October 21, 2018, the cricket stadium in Guwahati hosted its first ODI international match. The match was played between India and the West Indies.

India won the match by 8 wickets.

From March4 to 9, 2019, the cricket stadium hosted Women’s International Cricket for the first time. Three Women’s T20 International matches were played between England the Indian women’s cricket team. England team won the T20 series 3-0.
