Meghalaya Governor Ganga Prasad will arrive at Tura on Monday to familiarize himself with the region. During his maiden visit to Tura, the Governor will meet officials of the administration and police, as well as members of civil society and senior citizens.

The administration has chalked out elaborate programme for two days visit of Governor Ganga Prasad to Tura. On Tuesday, he will also flag off  “The Run for Martyrs” to commemorate the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

The run will begin at 6:30 am from Chandmari playground and will culminate at Dikki Bandi Stadium, Tura. A cultural programme and interaction with youth has also been planned for the Governor at Tura.

The administration has invited students and all to take part in  “The Run for Martyrs”.
