Locals rescued a massive python at Numberpara near Kokila in Assam’s Bongaigaon district.

One Lalsan, a local resident of Number para rescued the huge python from a tree in the locality.

The python was almost 30 kg in weight and 11 feet long.

Immediately after the news spread like wildfire, locals rushed to the spot to have a glimpse of the giant reptile.

Later the python was handed over to Forest Department officials by the local people with the help of police personnel who had come to the spot.

Notably, people in the area covering places like Numberpara, Solmari and Sakla have been taking good care of wildlife that venture into human habitation from the nearby jungles.

This effort of the local in rescuing the giant python was also lauded by one and all.

The unabated intrusion of human settlements in the natural habitats of wildlife has forced these dwellers of the wild to come out into human habitation.
