As part of zero tolerance approach towards encroachment in Dhubri district, the district administration on Tuesday lodged an FIR against encroachers for constructing unauthorized structures at Jhagrarpar Part I village located on the outskirts of Dhubri town.

Jayshankar Sharma, Circle Officer, Dhubri on behalf of the district administration, lodged the FIR (No 603/2018) at the Dhubri Police Station against 40-year-old Mozzamil Houqe, son of Suleman Ali, under Section 447 (Punishment for criminal trespass), 427 (mischief causing damage to the amount of fifty rupees) and 34 of the Indian Panel Code.

In this context, the Dhubri Police has arrested two labourers for being involved in the constriction work at the aforesaid site while the main accused, Mozzamil Houqe was found absconding.

The duo arrested labourers has been identified as Noor Mohammad and Abdul.

It has been alleged that the accused person was constructing an RCC wall by encroaching government land as informed by Bikash Sarma, DIPRO, Dhubri.

Ananta Lal Gyani, Deputy Commissioner, Dhubri, has again cautioned the general public to refrain from such encroachments and unauthorized activities as strict action would be taken against them if found guilty of illegal encroachment.
