“Hope our government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah will fulfill our expectations,” Ronghang added.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who laid the foundation stone of Karbi and Dimasa Bhawans in New Delhi, was present in the programme.
Lauding Centre’s decision of creating Ladakh as an autonomous state, Ronghan said, “We want the same attention from the Centre.”
Echoing the view, Autonomous District MP Haren Singh Bey said the provision for creation of an autonomous state is there in the Constitution of the country.
“Under Article 244 (A) of the Constitution, the government can create an autonomous state,” said Bey.
