Since union territory days, once overthrown no political party from Mizoram has ever returned to power. He cited the examples of the Mizo Union, the first political party of significance, the Mizo People’s Conference which never came back to power in Mizoram.

Citing history Zodintluanga said that the MNF, an organization formed because of the bamboo flowering of 1966 has already dug their grave during the 2006 bamboo flowering. “No political party from Mizoram has returned to power, the MNF will not,” Zodintluanga predicted.

“They don’t have anything to offer. They just went on telling lies and refraining that no party made a hat-trick in Mizoram. This is the only principle they have. The people of Mizoram want to see a concrete objective from the MNF, which they do not,” Zodintluanga said.
