The former Supreme Court staffer, who had levelled allegations of sexual harassment against Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, has walked out of the probe into her complaint, alleged that the in house inquiry committee did not follow the Vishaka guidelines.

According to reports, the sacked woman staffer of the apex court, who appeared on Tuesday before the in-house inquiry panel of the apex court for the second time, told the judges that she was not happy at being denied assistance of her counsel Vrinda Grover and felt intimidated while facing members of the panel.

The three-member panel, headed by Justice S A Bobde, had conducted its first in-chamber sitting on Friday during which the woman and the secretary general of the apex court appeared before it.

“Please do not forget that I belong to the Scheduled Caste and therefore the challenge to achieve something in life is much more daunting,” the complainant, according to TOI, told the panel, which also comprises two women judges — Indu Malhotra and Indira Banerjee.

She also demanded audio-video recording of the proceedings and assistance of her lawyer.

Alleging that here is a lack of clarity in the on procedure, she said that she was not given the minutes of the proceedings of April 26 and 29 by the in house panel.

The former woman staffer claimed that all her demands were turned down by the panel.

“I felt I was not likely to get justice from this committee and so I am no longer participating in the three-judge committee proceedings,” she said in a statement emailed to the media.
