In order to build up a vibrant society, technology has a vital role to play and to discover Assam, the digital platform of MyGov Assam must be utilized fully, as it is a people’s platform, said Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Friday while attending MyGov Assam, an interactive programme organized by MyGov Assam in association with MyGov India at Assam Administrative Staff College (AASC).
Fridays at MyGov, an initiative by MyGov India, aimed at facilitating a free and constructive exchange of ideas between the decision-makers, stakeholders and experts from various sectors.

The event was also attended by the Chief Executive Officer of MyGov India, Arbind Gupta, Science & Information Technology Minister, Keshab Mahanta, Additional Chief Secretary Ravi Capoor and VS Bhaskar, along with other dignitaries. Also present in the event, were the participants and beneficiaries of MyGov Assam across diverse sectors such as agriculture, entrepreneurship, women empowerment, environment, etc.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister said that MyGov Assam is a platform that facilitates association between citizens and Government. It promotes innovation, creative thinking and efficiency.
He also said that it is working towards creating a people’s democracy make every citizen a stakeholder of the government. He emphasized on the importance of people’s participation in taking the state towards the path of development.

Delivering the keynote address, the CEO of MyGov India Arvind Gupta talked about the significance of MyGov platform and that of Digital India. He also highlighted how the digital initiatives can be utilized to serve all purposes, in contemporary times. He was also the moderator for the interactive session. Science & IT Minister Keshab Mahanta also talked about the importance of MyGov in development of the state and mentioned about the upcoming ‘Tech City’ in the State.
The event saw a vibrant and rigorous interactive session involving the participants and the government authorities, where the participants put forward their views, suggestions and queries which were directly addressed by the dignitaries present in the event, including the Chief Minister.
