Notably, there has been a renewed demand for repeal of armed forces special powers act (AFSPA) in the Northeast.

The demand for repeal of AFSPA in the Northeast has grown louder ever since the killing of 13 innocent civilians by security forces in Nagaland’s Mon district on December 4.
