GUWAHATI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has appointed party’s in-charges for the Northeast states of Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh.

Assam minister Ashok Singhal has been appointed by the BJP as the party’s in-charge for Arunachal Pradesh.

Dr Ajit Gopchade has been appointed by the BJP as the party’s in-charge for Manipur.

Gopchade is a sitting Rajya Sabha MP from Maharashtra.

Anil Anthony has been appointed by the BJP as the party’s in-charge for Meghalaya and Nagaland.

On the other hand, Devesh Kumar, a member of the legislative council in Bihar, has been appointed by the BJP as its in-charge for Mizoram.

Meanwhile, Dilip Jaiswal, a member of the legislative council in Bihar, has been appointed by the BJP as its in-charge for Sikkim.

Furthermore, Sambit Patra has been appointed as the co-ordinator for the Northeast states, along with V Muraleedharan appointed as joint co-ordinator.
