A Bharat Darshan tourist train bound for South India will depart from the Guwahati railway station on February 20.

The package is for the duration of 14 nights and 15 days and designed to cover major temples in South India along with important tourist destinations like Vizag, Tirupati, Kanyakumari, Rameswaram, Madurai and Puri.

The service will be operated by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), said an official of the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR), reports The Assam Tribune.

“This package is a perfect blend of culture, pilgrimage and leisure experience. It is economically priced at Rs 14,175 per person, which is inclusive of the train journey in sleeper class, accommodation, all transfers and sightseeing by non-AC buses and vegetarian meals during the entire trip, along with sufficient drinking water. The package includes travel insurance, coach security guards, tour escorts and doctors with no additional cost. The packages are LTC approved and the same can also be availed by the government employees,” said the official.
