Young Bodo actor and recording engineer Monojit Narzary was cremated on Sunday as per Bodo traditions.

Narzary passed away on Saturday evening.

Monojit Narzary passed away at his Tengapara residence in Kokrajhar, Assam after prolonged illness.

Monojit Narzary, aged 45, left behind his parents, wife and two children.

He worked as a sound and recording engineer for T-Series in New Delhi.

Bodo started his acting career in 2005, featuring in the Bodo album – Angni gwdwni gwdwi rao.

Besides, he also worked with Mwsakhaori Film Productions in Kokrajhar, staring in Pathwilai Bisinai, Somaina bibarni gesao dentha and Golamni mwdwi to name a few.

Monojit was appreciated in the Bodo movie fraternity for his acting prowess.

Of late, Monojit Narzary was running his own film studio – Sangita Melodies Studios in Kokrajhar, where several Bodo films were edited.

Mortal remains of Monojit Narzary were cremated on Sunday as per Bodo rituals.

Many noted Bodo artistes, filmmakers and well-wishers offered their last tribute to him.

Meanwhile, former president of All Bodo Artistes Association – Bikash Basumatary and president of Dularai Boro Harimu Afat (DBHA) – Jogeswar Brahma among others expressed shock over Narzary’s untimely demise.
