Osmania University defeated University of Madras 3-0 in the final of the inter university Women Table tennis tournament 2017-18 at Dibrugarh University here on Tuesday.
University of Madras got second position and SRM University stood third in the tournament.
The tournament was organised by Dibrugarh University Sports Board at Dibrugarh University from February 25.
Altogether 16 Universities from four zones participated in the tournament.
“We are very happy that our girls have brought laurels for our University. After 25 years Telangana state Osmania University got first position in the inter University women Table tennis tournament,” said Dr K Sridhar Reddy, team manager of Osmania University.
