Pranjal Ghatowar, son of veteran Assam Congress leader Paban Singh Ghatowar is likely to join the BJP on Sunday at a programme in Guwahati.
According to sources, Pranjal Ghatowar will join the saffron brigade in the presence of Assam BJP president Bhabesh Kalita.
Pranjal Ghatowar, a young Congress leader, had contested in the recently held Assembly elections in Assam from Moran constituency, but was defeated by his BJP rival.

Pranjal Ghatowar is the third notable Congress leader after Rupjyoti Kurmi and Sushanta Borgohain to have defected to the BJP after the elections.
