“In the 7 years of PM Modi’s rule, not a single BJP leader has been charged in any case by the CBI, ED or Income Tax. But, on the other hand, the BJP government has filed cases under CBI, ED or IT against Congress and other opposition leaders and raided their houses or confiscated their property, thereby not only harassing them but also trying to stifle the voices of the opposition through different means,” Assam Congress MP Ripun Bora alleged.
Bora added: “Prior to elections, leaders of different opposition political parties were targeted to keep them away from campaigning by interrogating them in different cases or serving notices to them.”
