Underprivileged children are all set to walk the ramp at the Apple Blossoms FBB Asian Fashion Week in Guwahati from December 28.

The fashion week to be held at Radisson Blu Hotel here will have top designers like Sanjana Jon from New York, Bibi Rasel from Bangladesh, Sanith Fernando from Sri Lanka, Aslam Khan from Mumbai, Farah Ansari from Jaipur, Debarun Mukherjee from Kolkata and Pranay Vaidya from Delhi.

The three-day fashion extravaganza aims to give exposure to 12 underprivilaged children through a kids fashion show on December 28.

Apple Blossoms has partnered with city-based Avas Foundation, to select the kids for grooming, in a programme on December 22.

The organisers distributed books and food besides providing economic support to the kids during the programme graced by Sanjay Guha Choudhury, co-founder of Apple Blossoms, designers Kanchan More Sabharwal and Dipankar Kashyap, besides Darpan Mrs India Northeast 2008, Meenu Paul.

Designers Sabharwal, Guha Choudhury and Mowi from Nagaland will also take part in the fashion show to be choreographed by Dipankar Kashyap and Meenu Paul.

Super models taking the ramp at the fashion week include Nimrat Kaur, Madhabilata Mitra, Parul Bindal, Runa Laha, Madhurima, Pallabi Debnath and Sushmita among others, while super model Nayanika Chatterjee is going to grace the event as the Show Director.
