With three more persons testing positive for novel coronavirus in Guwahati, the COVID19 cases in Assam touched the 100-mark on Sunday.
Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said all the three patients are from Guwahati and they were in city’s Sarusajai quarantine centre.
Health minister Sarma has informed that while two infected patients came from Mumbai, the other person came from Bihar.
With the new cases, the number of active COVID19 positive cases increased to 55 in Assam.
Earlier, a total of 41 COVID19 patients were discharged from various hospitals across the state after their recovery from the disease.
While the deadly disease has claimed the lives of 2 persons in Assam so far, 2 persons have been migrated.
“Alert ~ Three persons are tested #COVID19 + in Guwahati. Two of them came from Mumbai while one arrived from Bihar. All 3 are in Sarusajai quarantine centre,” health minister Sarma tweeted on Sunday night.
“Total cases 100, Recovered 41, Active cases 55, Deaths 2, Migrated 2,” Sarma added.
