Avetea, a Bangalore-based online tea-selling firm is hosting products from organic tea growers in Assam, Darjeeling and Nilgiri.

Now small tea growers from Assam, Darjeeling and Nilgiri can sell their hand-crafted products on Avetea, as the firm, has tied up with 34 small and organic tea growers.

Among the small tea growers who have tied up with the firm, 27 are from Assam. They can sell these products for overseas buyers.

“This will give them better price as the middlemen will be removed and at the same time we will share 10 per cent of our profits with the small tea growers, who are often clueless about the market dynamics. We are selling their teas in at least 17 countries and the tea connoisseurs love their hand-crafted products because of its exotic quality and taste,” said Abhishek Sircar, director of Avetea Exotics Pvt Limited.

The company is focusing on exotic and organic tea. The company has also been working with farmers to enhance production methods to meet market demand.
