“We , therefore, have shortlisted Silchar for organising the event. There is every possibility to hold some matches of the tournament here, provided it can stand up to the needs and requirements to hold such an event,” ACA secretary Saikia said.
The ACA secretary hailed the SVCC for organising the seminar cum workshop.
Silchar MLA and former deputy speaker Dilip Kumar Paul inaugurated the two-day seminar cum workshop.
Paul in his speech said, “I appreciate the initiatives taken up by the SVCC. They have done commendable job in the past three years in uplifting cricket. They have also extended help to sportspersons of other disciplines.”
A total of 32 umpires from various districts of Assam attended the first day of the seminar cum workshop.
