Veteran Bollywood actor Sharmila Tagore and her daughter Soha Ali Khan on Thursday walked the ramp, clad in dresses designer by Assam designer Sanjukta Dutta.
The mother-daughter duo was the show stopper at the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) show in Guwahati.
The ‘Junglee’ star was dressed in a shaded blue mekhela chador and her daughter Soha adorned a royal blue lehenga- thereby unveiling Sanjukta Dutta’s new festive collection ‘Akash’.
In Sanjukta Dutta words, ‘Akash’ is a tribute and a sensitisation towards handloom and nature conservation.

“Handloom has always been a favourite and I have worn it quite regularly,” said Tagore.
“I have draped mekhela chador in the past as well. Walking for Sanjukta’s collection was a pure delight,” the veteran actor added.
“It is always a great thing when an age-old drape is redefined aesthetically with modern designs and a theme. Sanjukta does it every year,” said Soha Ali Khan.
Sanjukta Dutta expressed her happiness of having got the opportunity to work with the two actors.
Sanjukta Dutta was a prominent face of the Yashraj film ‘Sui Dhaga’ for which she designed the logo.
