Senior Indian Information Service (IIS) officer Rajib Lochan Borthakur has joined the Central Board of Film Certification, Guwahati Regional Office.
He will serve the board in his capacity of the Regional Officer.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India had decided to appoint IIS officers as regional officers in all the nine regional offices of CBFC, including Guwahati, on a regular basis.
Borthakur is the first regular officer holding this post.
Feature films, documentaries, short films, Ad films, trailers, promos, video songs and any other video materials produced in Assam and other NE states are issued certificates for public exhibition from this office.
