The second edition of the book ‘Studies on Dimasa History, Language and Culture’ was released on Sunday in Haflong by the Dimasa Youth Forum.
The book written by Dr Monali Longmailai includes papers from researchers from various disciplines such as History, Geology, Linguistics, Sociology, Anthropology, Sericulture to name a few on Dimasa.
It is a collection of 13 papers contributed by 18 authors from India and abroad.
The book is a continuation of the first volume and hopes to expand the world of readers from Dimasa to beyond in the future.
Dr Monali Longmailai works as an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Endangered Languages, Tezpur University.
She specializes in Morphosyntax, Areal Typology, Ethnolinguistics, Language documentation and endangerment, and Tibeto-Burman languages.
She is also the editor of both the volumes of the book.
