Synchronising with the spirit of the Republic Day celebrations, Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Tuesday visited Lifeline Care Home at Satgaon in Guwahati and spent time with the inmates there.

Visiting the care home where patients afflicted with Alzheimer and dementia are living as inmates, chief minister Sonowal interacted with the inmates and took stock of the medical treatments being rendered to them.

Sonowal distributed fruits among the inmates.

Having taken stock of the facilities of the care home, chief minister Sonowal assured that he would render all possible help to the organisation for the convenience of the inmates.

The chief minister at the same time paid a visit to Nirmal Bhawan under North East Voluntary Association of Rural Development for the victims of domestic violence which is adjacent to the care home.

Considering the conditions of the road leading to the care home, Sonowal said that his government will take steps for constructing the road.
