Pro-talk ULFA leader Pradip Gogoi has been arrested by the police in Guwahati, Assam.

Pradip Gogoi was arrested by the officials of the Dispur Police Station in Guwahati.

Pradip Gogoi was arrested by the police after receiving “orders from the higher authorities”.

Pradip Gogoi was arrested by the police from Hatigaon area in Guwahati on Monday night.

However, the police is yet to come up with an official statement in regards to the arrest of the pro-talk ULFA leader.

According to reports doing the rounds, pro-talk ULFA leader Pradip Gogoi has been arrested by the police for allegedly “plotting assassination” of Assam Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Police reportedly have recovered phone records of Pradip Gogoi, wherein the pro-talk ULFA leader allegedly spoke to a person in Karbi Anglong and discussed the assassination plot.

However, Pradip Gogoi has denied the allegations.

“The police have not informed me anything. They just picked me up from my home in the night,” said pro-talk ULFA leader Pradip Gogoi.
