The government has announced post and pre-matric scholarships for the ST and OBC students of Assam for the session 2020-21.
Confirming the news, the Assam government on its Twitter handle said: “Applications are open for scholarships for ST/OBC students of Assam. Visit http://scholarships.gov.in to apply.”
The students of Class IX-X, belonging to the scheduled tribe (ST) from Assam, can apply for the pre-matric scholarships.
The students of Class I-X, belonging to the other backward classes (OBC) from Assam can apply for the pre-matric scholarships.
The ST and OBC students from Assam can apply for the post-matric scholarships.
According to Mygov Assam, the students, whose annual family income is Rs 2.50 Iakh, only can apply for the scholarships.
The last date for submission of application is November 30, 2020.
The last date for verification of applications by institutions is December 31, 2020.
The students can apply for the scholarships at scholarships.gov.in.
