A total of 2068 COVID-19 patients were discharged from various COVID-19 hospitals and care centres in Assam on Friday, taking the overall discharged tally to 1,61,901.
With this, the total active cases in the state remain at 29,710.
It may be mentioned here that 84.14 per cent of the total COVID-19 patients have recovered in the state so far.
The state’s positivity rate is also decreasing day by day, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed in a tweet as he expressed his gratitude to the doctors.
