Cooperate with the state government in its fight against COVID-19, urged Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) Dr BD Mishra in a statement issued on Wednesday.

The statement further added that if one has to defeat COVID-19 from spreading across the state, then people will have to strictly follow the COVID-19 safety protocols.

It may be mentioned here that the Governor and his wife returned from Delhi on Tuesday, took the rapid antigen test at Banderdewa check gate and tested negative for the infection.

During his stay in New Delhi, the Governor held discussions with several central leaders on several developmental issues concerning Arunachal Pradesh, the statement added.

The Governor, who is currently undergoing five-day home quarantine in accordance with the government guidelines, expressed concern over the alarming rate of COVID-19 transmission.

“Everyone should properly cover their nose and mouth when going out of the house, and physical distance of at least six feet should be maintained at offices, shops and other public places,” he said.
