Renowned Bollywood actor Adil Hussain, who hails from Assam, once rented a thatch hut outside the mansion of a noted film producer in Guwahati to fetch his attention.
He was interacting with the audience on Friday at the ongoing International Film Festival of India 2019 (IFFI 2019) where his latest movie ‘Pareeksha’ is generating quite a good buzz.
The movie is directed by Prakash Jha who had made movies like ‘Gangajal’, ‘Rajneeti’, ‘Apaharan’ etc.
“I had rented a thatch hut in Guwahati in front of the most famous director’s house in Assam thinking that one day I would get a break,” Hussain said.
“So one day the director comes out of his house and I come out and he says, you are my hero,” the actor added.
“The rent of the hut was Rs 150,” he further said while responding to a question from a film student who wanted to know if Hussain ever tried to catch the attention of a filmmaker in Assam during his early days.
Hussain also spoke at length about acting methods and other previously unheard and unsaid parts of his life.
