NRL pays Rs 127.15 crore interim dividend to Assam government

Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) on Saturday presented the second interim dividend cheque amounting to Rs 77.2 crore to Government of Assam for the financial year 2018-19 against its equity holding of 12.35 per cent in the company.

The cheque was presented to chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal by NRL MD S K Barua at the Assam Assembly premises, Dispur in presence of Chandra Mohan Patowary, minister of Industries, Government of Assam, a press communique issued by Madhuchanda Adhikari Choudhury, deputy general manager, Corporate Communications, NRL stated.

The additional chief secretary of Industries and Commerce, Ravi Capoor and other senior government and NRL officials were also present on the occasion.

NRL has till now paid an amount of Rs. 127.15 Crore as Interim Dividend for the current financial year 2018-19. The final dividend will be decided by the NRL Board after the end of the current financial year ending on March 31, 2019.
