Assam Rifle and police, in a joint operation nabbed nine proscribed NDFB(S) rebels including two women from Jairampur in Arunachal Pradesh’s Changlang district.
The rebels were infiltrating into India from their training camp at Taga in Myanmar when security forces apprehended them on Wednesday, police officials said.

Numal Mahatta, Additional SP, Sonitpur said that the militants sneak into Arunachal Pradesh for treatment. The nabbed cadres were trained at the outfit’s base in Myanmar.
The nabbed rebels have been identified as Rita Swargiary from Batasipur under Dhekiajuli police station in Sonitpur district, Moniram Basumatary from Balisang under Biswanath police station in Biswanath district, Sulekha Brahma, Sumuria Narzari, Beserbari Rajesh Basumatari, Rabsana Narzari from Chirang district and Loudang Musahari, Dilip Narzari, Binaram Narzari from Ultapani in Kokrajhar district.
Earlier on December 2, the Army and police operating in Assam had arrested another nine NDFB (S) rebels at Jairampur in Arunachal Pradesh and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition from their possession.
