The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) will operate few trains on electric traction up to New Coochbehar.

As such timings of several trains have been revised In view of the traction change from diesel to electric at New Coochbehar instead of New Jalpaiguri.

The timings of the Kamakhya – Delhi Special (leaving from Delhi on March 12 and from Kamakhya on March 14) and the Dibrugarh – Howrah Special (leaving from Howrah and Dibrugarh on March 14) have been revised.

The timings of the Guwahati – Howrah Special(leaving from Howrah on March 14 and from Guwahati on March 15) and the Silghat Town – Kolkata Special (leaving from Kolkata on March 15 and from Silghat on March 16) have also been revised.

The NFR has also extended the services of a few special trains for the period from April 4 to June 30.

The trains whose services have been extended are the Guwahati – Secunderabad Weekly Special leaving from Guwahati on Thursday and from Secunderabad on Saturday and the  Silchar – Guwahati Special leaving from Silchar on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and from Guwahati on Monday, Thursday and Saturday.

The services of the Kamakhya – Anand Vihar (T) Superfast Special leaving from Kamakhya and Anand Vihar (T) every day and the Katihar – Patna Intercity Express Special leaving from Katihar and Patna every day have also been extended.
