The Northeast Frontier Railway has undertaken special intensive cleanliness drives from October 2 after the successful conclusion of Swachhta Pakhwada last month.

The drives have been carried out in all the divisions – Katihar, Alipurduar, Rangiya, Lumding and Tinsukia with the active participation of railway staff and the members of Bharat Scouts and Guides as well, said Guneet Kaur, chief public relations officer (CPRO) in a statement.

Cleanliness drives are being organized at stations, concourse areas, coaches, tracks, waiting rooms and workplaces throughout the divisions to maintain proper hygiene.

The district associations of Bharat Scouts and Guides of NF Railway participated in the Clean India Project from October 2, 2021 along with their counterpart throughout the country.

Along with this, vaccination camps are also being organized by the Bharat Scouts and Guides of NF Railway for the purpose of great benefit to the people.

Members of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, NF Railway, Badarpur District Association participated wholeheartedly in the Clean India Project by cleaning various places in the surrounding areas like railway hospital, pond, road, school campus and railway station from October 2, 2021.

The NF Railway statement said members of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, NF Railway, Alipurduar District Association participated in the Clean India Project by cleaning river, school campus, drainage, roads and other places.

Similar programmes have also been carried out by other district associations under the divisions of NF Railway.

“Such programmes will be carried out in the divisions till November 1, 2021,” the statement said.

The Bharat Scouts and Guides, NF Railway, Badarpur District Association organized 23rd COVID19 Vaccination Camp on October 4, 2021 at District Scout Hut, Badarpur.

In the camp, a total of 150 people from various areas were vaccinated.

A service team of 20 Rovers and Rangers was there. The Association organized its 24th Vaccination Camp on October 18, 2021.

A total of 150 people of surrounding areas were vaccinated and 15 Rovers and Rangers were there as a service team., the NF Railway statement said.
