Mortal remains of martyred Army havildar Hardhan Chandra Roy to arrive in Guwahati today

The mortal remains of martyred Army havildar Hardhan Chandra Roy will arrive at Guwahati Airport at around 5:30 pm.

From the airport, the mortal remains of the country’s braveheart will be taken to the mortuary of the Base Hospital and move to Dhubri in an ambulance at night, sources said.

The final wreath-laying ceremony will be held at his native village in Dhubri district on Monday.

Hardhan Chandra Roy, who hailed from Phutukibari-Medhipara under Sapatgram police station in Dhubri district, was among the four Army jawans killed in firing by Pakistani troops on Friday.

The firing took place along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.

Indian forces strongly retaliated to the shelling.

Around 6 to 7 Pakistan army soldiers, including two SSG (Special Service Group) commandos, were killed and 10-12 were injured, army sources claimed.

Army General MM Naravane and all other ranks of the Army saluted the supreme sacrifice of the bravehearts.
