The mortal remains of Assam’s CRPF jawan, Dilip Kumar Das, who was martyred during the recent Naxal attack in Chattishgarh, reached his homeland, Sarupeta on Tuesday.
The mortal remains of the braveheart from Assam arrived at the LGBI Airport in Guwahati in the morning on Tuesday.
From the airport, his mortal remains were taken to 175 CRPF camp located at Dharapur, where the brave jawan was paid last tribute by top-ranking CRPF and Assam Police officials.
Then Dilip Kumar Das’ mortal remains were taken his hometown Sarupeta in Bhabanipur under Bajali district.
The braveheart will be cremated with state honours in his home Bharegaon.

Dilip Kumar Das, who had joined the CRPF in 2001, leaves behind his wife and two daughters.
Apart from Dilip Kumar Das, another CRPF jawan from Assam, identified as Bablu Rabha, a resident of Dudhnoi in Goalpara district was martyred during a fierce gun-battle with Naxal at Bijapur in Chhatisgarh on Saturday.

Bablu Rabha was cremated at his native place at Dudhnoi on Monday morning.
At least 22 security personnel were killed and another 33 sustained injuries in the encounter with the Naxals.

Bullet-ridden and stabbed bodies of security personnel were scattered in an area of over 1 kilometre.
One of the CRPF jawans, who survived in the encounter, narrated the ordeal saying that the troops were surrounded and attacked by over 400 Naxals.
