Euphoric with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Man vs Wild show, Ministry of Tourism has added wildlife as its theme for the Incredible India campaign for the next two months.
The show, Man vs Wild, was premiered on Monday in more than 180 countries across the world on Discovery network channels.
Sources in the Ministry of Tourism told Northeast Now on Monday that Assam’s Kaziranga National Park will feature prominently in Incredible India’s wildlife campaign.
The special episode of Modi’s Man vs Wild show was shot in Jim Corbett National Park along with survivalist and adventurer Bear Grylls.
It is definite that in the present political realm, Modi is the brightest icon in India.
And, the officials of the Ministry of Tourism are optimistic that linking tourism campaign with Modi’s Man vs Wild show is definitely going to pay dividends.
Tourism Minister Prahlad Patel is also excited with the new Incredible India campaign.
Incredible India is an international campaign launched by the Ministry of Tourism in 2002.
Along with Jim Corbett National Park, the Ministry of Tourism officials claimed, Kaziranga National Park will also feature prominently in the Incredible India campaign.
Kaziranga National Park hosts two-thirds of the world’s great one-horned rhinoceroses.
The wild habitat has 2,413 rhinos. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In fact, Kaziranga also has the highest density of tigers among protected areas in the world, and was declared a Tiger Reserve in 2006.
The park is home to large breeding populations of elephants, wild water buffalo, and swamp deer.
