Earlier, Assam health minister Keshab Mahanta had said that the state government is mulling to implement fresh curbs after the state recorded marginal rise in COVID-19 cases post Durga Puja celebrations.

Mahanta informed that the state government will consider implementing fresh restrictions if the rise in COVID-19 cases doesn’t decline in the coming days.

But never was it mentioned that the Assam government is mulling to re-impose lockdown in the state, as some of the unscrupulous elements are spreading rumours.
