Slamming the BJP over its alleged misrule in the state of Tripura, where the TMC has been able make its presence felt, Mamata Banerjee alleged that human rights in the state have been taken for a ride.

“Why are there no human rights for Tripura where women are being beaten. You have turned human rights into politics,” Mamata Banerjee said.

Meanwhile, TMC national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee, who had been recently visiting Tripura to expand party ‘s support base in the state ahead of the Assembly elections in the state in 2023, said that the BJP regime in Tripura is on shaky grounds.

“BJP in Tripura is on shaky grounds. TMC will go to every state where democracy has been murdered. We are not scared of the BJP and its tactics,” Abhishek Banerjee said.

“We will win Tripura. Mamata Banerjee hasn’t visited Tripura yet. And when she does, there will be an earthquake. We will continue to fight, till the time BJP is thrown out of power,” Abhishek Banerjee said.
