The Assam police has tasted a major success in its crusade against drugs mafia in the state.

Heroin, weighing 1.12 kilograms, were seized by the officials of Assam police from Sonapur near Guwahati city late on Saturday night.

The seized heroin has been estimated to be worth over Rs 7 crore in international markets.
