Journalists’ Forum Assam (JFA) expresses its profound grief at the untimely demise of senior sports journalist Pranjal Hazarika.

Hazarika who breathed his last on Sunday morning in a city hospital.

Originally a resident of Jorhat, the 45-year-old journalist was suffering from serious liver ailments for some time.

He was hospitalized last night with major complications.

Hazarika leaves behind his parents, wife, a son and a host other relatives friends.

“Pranjal left all of us at a time when the human race is fighting against the coronavirus pandemic,” said a JFA statement issued by president Rupam Barua and secretary Nava Thakuria.

“Goodbye Pranjal, may your soul rest in peace !” the statement added.
