The All Assam Trained Home Guard Association on Monday staged a three-hour protest demonstration in front of the Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner’s office demanding regularisation of their services. They submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister of Assam through the Deputy Commissioner. The association in its memorandum stated that more than 500 trained home guards appointed during the ethnic clashes in 2012 in BTAD are yet to receive their salaries for the last four months.
