Assam PWD minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday inspected the alternate and additional under construction road to the Kamakhya Temple from Maligaon.
The minister was accompanied by several officials from the PWD department among others.

“The 4.3-kilometre road once completed will provide better and quick access to the Kamakhya temple,” the minister said.
“Total cost of the road will be Rs 108 crore including land and building compensation,” he added.
The construction of the road began in January last year and it is expected to get completed within three years.
