City police held a police official on Saturday for allegedly sexually assaulting a girl at Lakhtokia area in Guwahati.
Police officials said based on the complaint filed by the girl at Panbazar police station in Guwahati, police official Krishna Saikia was detained.
Saikia is posted as Sub-Inspector at city’s Jalukbari police station.
