The Goalpara district police administration on Sunday organised a district level quiz competition titled ‘Mera Bharat Mohan’ ahead of the 72nd Independence Day at the Phani Sarma Bhawan here.
Varnali Deka, Deputy Commissioner, Goalpra, attended as the Chief Guest at the programme and encouraged the participants to gather knowledge and use it in a constructive way for the benefit of the society as well as the nation.

About eighty four teams from more than thirty educational institutions participated in the first digitised championship which remained exciting from the beginning.
A live quiz on the walking models wearing traditional attires of northeastern States mesmerised the huge crowd.
At the end of the competition, Sainik School stood first, Kendriya Vidyalay emerged second and Kalpana Chawla Memorial Academy emerged third.

Anurag Kumar and Nitish Sarma represented Sainik School, Miss Mohsina and Abeer Chakravorty represented Kendriya Vidyalay and Shabnam Marjia and Meghna Devi represented Kalpana Chawla Memorial Academy.
Chiranjeet Gam conducted the quiz contest as quiz master and Varnali Deka, DC, Amitava Sinha, SP and Captain (In) Edwin Jothirajan, principal Sainik School, Goalpara gave away the prizes to the winners.
