Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi on Saturday said by not framing charges against Indrani Mukherjea in the INX media case, BJP government has exposed its ‘psychotic desperation’ to save her.
Gogoi’s remark came after Indrani Mukherjea did not face any charges in the INX Media case.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday filed a chargesheet against 14 people including former Union finance minister P Chidambaram for their alleged involvement in the INX Media case.
Indrani Mukerjea, who has turned approver against Chidambaram, appears in the list but does not face charges.
“To pardon a woman who murdered her own daughter and for years before passed her off as her sister exposes the psychotic desperation of the BJP. Tomorrow the BJP can fix anyone who they find is speaking truth to power. This cannot and will not be India’s fate,” Gogoi twitted on Saturday.
