The Dhubri district administration has come up with a mobile application and website called “Nirvachanmitra” to offer all forms of information to the public regarding the upcoming Assam Assembly elections.

Dhubri deputy commissioner and district election officer Deba Kumar Kalita formally launched the application and website in Dhubri on Tuesday.

“The application which will act as a bridge between the district administration and common public, has been launched specifically keeping young voters in mind,” said Deba Kumar Kalita.

The mobile application, which has been launched under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Programme (SVEEP) Sveep of the Election Commission of India (ECI), will also host several online activities, competitions etc.

The www.nirvachanmitra.in will also serve the same purpose.

The application is open to all and can be downloaded and installed from App Store as well as from the internet, said the deputy commissioner.
