The Guwahati police has nabbed a notorious drug racketeer from Manipur.
The arrested criminal has been identified as Shabir Ahamad (29).
Ahamad has been arrested from Moirang in Bishnupur district of Manipur.
Shabir Ahamad, the arrested criminal, was working for a drug cartel in Manipur, which is trying to spread its wings into Assam.
The arrest has been made in connection with a case relating to seizure of a large quantity of heroin and arrest of two drug peddlers in Guwahati on August 19.

“In a daring Op, Guwahati Police with Manipur Police arrested an imp drug network linkman, Shabir Ahamad Op was conducted in the L&O sensitive Moirang of Bishnupur. The arrest was in connection with the earlier seizure of Heroin & arrest of 2 accused in Guwahati on 19-08-21,” the Guwahati police said.
