The COVID19 death toll in Assam has increased to 46 after the demise of 6 more persons due to infection on Tuesday.

This has been confirmed by Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday.

Health minister Sarma in a tweet on Tuesday informed that the victims are Sneha Mall (36), Litu Kumar Bora (37), Sarat Ch Saharia (60), Upendra Nath (62), Pramod Ranjan Saha (73) and Subhakaran Dudheria (73).

“They succumbed to COVID19 as per Death Audit Board report,” Sarma tweeted, adding, “My prayers, and condolences to the families.”

Health minister Sarma while sharing the state’s latest data regarding COVID19 on his Twitter handle said 757 patients have been discharged from various hospitals in the state after they recovered from the disease.

“Discharge Alert. 757 patients discharged today in Assam,” Sarma tweeted.

The health minister wished the discharged patients good health and long life.

“May God bless you all with good health & long life. Take care of yourself!” he added.

With the release of the 757 patients, the total number of discharged patients in Assam now stands at 12,173.

As per the data, shared by the health minister, the COVID19 death toll in the state has risen to 46.

The state has registered a total of 17,807 COVID19 positive cases.

Assam currently has 5,585 active COVID19 patients who are undergoing treatment in various hospitals across the state while 3 positive cases migrated from the state.
