Seven more COVID19 patients have been discharged from the Silchar Medical Collge Hospital (SMCH) in Cachar district on Monday.
With the newly-discharged cases, the total number of COVID19 patients discharged from the hospitals in Assam has gone up to 284.
Earlier on the day, a total of 92 COVID19 patients were discharged from 7 hospitals across Assam.
Informing about the discharge of the 7 more patients, Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in his latest tweet at 10.03 pm on Monday said the patients were discharged after they tested negative for COVID19 twice.
“Discharge Alert. Glad to share that 7 more patients have been discharged from SMCH today after they tested negative for #COVID19 twice. Discharged Patients – 284. Active Patients – 1172,” health minister Sarma tweeted.
Earlier on the day, the health minister informed that a total of 46 patients were discharged from the COVID19 hospital at Kalapahar in Guwahati and 22 patients were discharged from the Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH) at Panbazar in the city.
He also said a total of 13 COVID19 patients were discharged from Tezpur Medical College Hospital (TMCH), 7 were discharged from Jorhat Medical College Hospital (JMCH), 2 were discharged from Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College Hospital (FAAMCH) in Barepta.
One each patient has been discharged from the Assam Medical College Hospital (AMCH) and Silchar Medical College Hospital (SMCH).
Assam so far has registered 1,463 COVID19 positive cases while the number of active cases stands at 1,106.
The deadly disease has so far claimed the lives of 4 persons in Assam while 3 cases migrated from the state.
