COVID19 Assam

A total of 25 COVID19 patients were discharged on Wednesday from various hospitals in Assam.

The good news has been shared by Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday evening when the number of COVID19 positive cases registered in the state reached 774.

Health minister Sarma said the COVID19 patients were discharged after their samples tested negative for the virus twice.

The health minister informed that while 22 cured persons were discharged from the Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital at Panbazar in Guwahati, 2 others were discharged from the Silchar Medical College Hospital (SMCH) and 1 patient was discharged from the Jorhat Medical College Hospital (JMCH).

“Discharge Alert – Glad to share that total 25 patients have been discharged today in Assam after being tested #COVID19 negative twice,” health minister Sarma tweeted, adding, “22 from MMCH, 2 from SMCH & 1 from JMCH.”

With the 22 persons discharged on Wednesday, the total number of discharged patients from the hospitals across Assam stands at 87.

Out of a total of 774 positive cases registered so far in Assam, the state currently has 680 active cases.

The deadly disease has so far claimed the lives of 4 persons while 3 cases migrated.

On Wednesday, Assam has registered a total of 92 positive cases.

India has registered 1,51,767 COVID19 positive cases so far with 4,337 deaths.
